anovulation: The absence of ovulation.

benign: Not dangerous to a person's health. Often used to describe a non-cancerous tumor, benign refers to non-cancerous growths.

biopsy: The process of removing a piece of tissue from an organism in order to examine it.

caucasian: A member of the Caucasoid race. Caucasians are marked by lighter features.

cyst: A fluid-filled mass within the body that is usually benign.

cystadenoma: A usually benign tumor that contains secreted material, usually serous or mucinous. It generally occurs in the ovaries, salivary glands or pancreas.

dermoid: A tumor, usually benign, in the ovary that typically contains a diversity of tissues, including hair, teeth, bone, etc.

endometrioma: A cyst containing endometrial tissue and blood.
